We took on the parts other suppliers hand off
Pharmaceutical supply in Nigeria is usually split between a manufacturer, an importer, a wholesaler, a transporter and a retailer. Every handover is a place where a batch number gets lost, a cold chain lapses, or a product of unknown origin joins the shipment. The patient at the end of that chain has no way of knowing it happened.
Mankind Pharma Limited was built to close those gaps. We manufacture, we buy from suppliers we have checked ourselves, we store the product under conditions matched to what it is, we move it with our own schedule, and we sell it both by the case and over the counter. Six business areas, one company, one set of records running end to end.
The sixth area is the one people are surprised by. We also recover and recycle the packaging and medical plastics that pharmaceutical supply generates, because a company that puts several tonnes of material into circulation has some responsibility for where it ends up.
